Yesterday afternoon I had a strange feeling to check my book downloads on Amazon. I had already checked them that morning, but for some reason, I felt compelled to do it again. I must confess I was surprised to see my novella, Saying Goodbye: The Christmas Gift had nearly 700 downloads since that morning.
I don’t know why there was a sudden interest in downloading that ebook, but I am thrilled to see so many people chose it among all the others offered on Amazon. It made a big smile on my face. LOL
I know it’s not even Halloween yet, but if you enjoy a heartwarming story of love and forgiveness, Saying Goodbye: The Christmas Gift is just for you.
Wow, it’s hard to believe it’s nearly time to say goodbye to 2017. It really was a year full of exciting events for me as a writer. From working with first-time authors to get their book ready for readers to enjoy, to branching out into new and exciting ventures, 2017 has been an interesting year indeed.
I wasn’t able to finish any new books of my own this year, but I was thrilled when my Christmas Novella, Saying Goodbye won GOLD for its beautiful cover. If you haven’t read it yet, I highly recommend you get the FREE download on Amazon. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
As the last hours of 2017 tick away, my heart fills with hope for the coming new year. I have several books waiting for me to finish writing them. The second installment of Dragon’s Blood Key, Return to Walandra has been patiently waiting, as well as my paranormal thriller, 4. I had started working on a new series titled Malora Danning which is the story of a woman from a secret real with magical powers. I must admit it’s going to be a lot of fun writing this one. Then as the Christmas Spirit took hold of me, the idea for another Christmas Novella popped into my mind. It’s a shame I just can’t plug my brain into a laptop and have it write the stories swimming around in there. LOL
So, as we enter the new year I wish you all nothing but health, happiness, and success in everything you do. I also pray you have a wondrous 2018, and may all your dreams come true.
I LOVE this time of the year with the bright and cheery decorations, the yummy baked goodies, and of course, all the feel-good Hallmark Christmas Movies. As I look back over this year I can’t believe everything that’s happened. Our children and grandchildren are all happy and healthy, we added two little rescue pups to our family, we had to say goodbye to two loved-ones, and my hubby is still the love of my life and writing muse. Yes, I truly am blessed.
I do have some exciting news to share. My novella, Saying Goodbye: The Christmas Gift won GOLD in the 2017 AUTHORSdb cover contest. How cool is that? I’ve never entered any competition for my writing, so this was quite exciting for me. If you haven’t read it yet, you can get it as a FREE download on Amazon. It’s received a handful of rave reviews, so I’m sure you’ll enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.
I’m currently working on another Christmas novella. I don’t know if I’ll have it ready for this year, but it’s going to be a great story that will make you cry tears of joy and sorrow.
So, decorate your tree, bake those favorite yummies, and spend this magical season with those you love… MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Over the last few days, I have shared The 13 Nights of Halloween with you. However, I decided to make an audio version as an extra treat. Happy Halloween and I hope you have a fun and safe night.
